Canning

If you really want to can the things you get from your garden then you will need the following:

A hot water bath canner or steam canner
A pressure canner (for vegetables and meat)
A juicer (I use a steam juicer for making juice and syrup)
Bottles made for canning
Canning lids
Canning rings

Buy the best quality you can afford.

I use a product called Ultra Gel for making my pie fillings and Mandarin Sauce.  The product is produced by Carnet Foods.  You can find the link to Carnet Foods and thier cookbook in my list of favorites.  They have salad dressings, dips, fruit salads, fruit dips, sauces, gravies, soups, stews, main dishes, breads, desserts, canning repices, and a few more fun recipes in their cookbook.
